8-year-old Ohio boy helps himself and sister escape from stolen car

An 8-year-old Ohio boy’s heroic actions allowed him and his 10-year-old sister to escape from their grandmother’s car that was being stolen.

The boy, Chance, and his older sister, Skyler, were left in the backseat of their grandmother Nita Coburn’s car as she wheeled her sick daughter into a Middletown, Ohio hospital on Thursday.

That’s when suspect Dalvir Singh, 24, hopped into the driver’s seat and began to drive away from Atrium Medical Center, according to WCPO.

Coburn thought she locked her doors, but since the keys were still inside, a safety feature kept them open.

She chased after Singh in a desperate bid to save her grandchildren, she told the station.

She tried to pull open driver’s side door, but Singh slammed it shut.
