The epic new trailer for “Men in Black: International” was released by Sony on Thursday.
The highly anticipated sequel features a star-studded cast including Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, who have already proved their undeniable chemistry in “Thor: Ragnarok.”
In the new iteration of the sci-fi blockbuster franchise, Thompson, who plays Agent M, teams up with the handsome British operative Agent H, Hemsworth, to stop a mysterious force that threatens to unravel the whole organization.
The movie also stars Liam Neeson, who plays the currently unnamed head of the UK branch, and Emma Thompson, who is the US Men in Black director, Agent O.
The 2019 movie is a sequel to the 1997 film which originally starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
“Hopefully we’re doing the franchise proud,” Tessa Thompson told Entertainment.ie. “It’s a lot more action than I think you’ve seen in the other ‘Men in Black’ films. It is global in scope, it’s set here in the UK which is super fun, there’s a lot of fun, English humor.”
She also revealed “a really rad fight scene” with Rebecca Ferguson, who starred in “Mission: Impossible — Fallout.”
But for Tessa Thompson, the highlight of her latest role is the chance to work with Emma Thompson.
“I’m such a massive, massive fan,” she said.
“We’re related — Thompson and Thompson! Getting to just square off with her and hang out with her and learn from her, I was pinching myself and trying to keep my cool, because it meant a lot to me.”
